Located in the streets of Condesa of Mexico City, the Condesa DF Hotel is of French neo-classic architectural style. It was built in 20th century and is listed in the cultural heritage list by Mexico City government. Today, it has been turned into a design hotel representing bohemian style by architect Javier Sanchez, and Indian interior designer, Mahdavi.
The atrium is the central to the hotel. No matter where you are in the hotel lounge, or any room, you can always enjoy the view of the atrium. Once stepping into the room, you immediately forget the horrible traffic of Mexico City, the crowds and the polluted air; you have entered a perfect tranquil world, the designer calls the room “Monk Room”. This is not because of the layout or style of the room, but because the simplest furniture and pure white decoration naturally gives an atmosphere for meditation. The designer wants to illustrate that our space is limited, but our soul and mind is not.
The most popular place is the terrace. The white umbrella opens its arm whenever you go. The big and comfortable chairs are made from local material and are fully occupied by people who desire the cool and clean evening air.
